Kids and Teens School Holiday Workshop Assistant

Sew Fabulous Community Interest Company is based in Brighton Open Market.

We are recruiting for our school holiday club program - Half term holidays, Easter and Summer holidays. 

Our children’s class volunteers will assist with:

• Setting up and tidying away.
• Preparing learning materials.
• Helping students to use sewing machines and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Helping students with their projects.
• Taking photographs of students work. 
• Assisting with lunch breaks.

Practical Considerations

• DBS checks will be required
• Our holiday club program is growing and developing and we are looking for a team of regular volunteers that are available for the holiday period and can assist in workshops at the studio and also workshops that we run in the main market plaza area.
• Check your junk mail as we always reply to applicants and often our replies get lost.

Skills

It is essential that any prospective volunteers:

• Have good basic sewing skills and arts experience.
• Can easily build a strong rapport and positive working relationship with adults, children and young people.
• Can take direction well, work with all people in a conscious, good natured, creative way.
• Have an interest in sewing/textiles/arts.
• Are committed to Sew Fabulous’s aims and objectives.

When do I need to be available?

Details	We require volunteers to do a full day when the program requires 9.30-4.30 for example
