Rottingdean Whiteway Centre
Rottingdean Whiteway Centre is a busy self funded community charity run by volunteers, in the heart of Rottingdean. We organise educational courses, rent out our rooms to local groups and for parties, a nursery operates daily in one of our halls. The charity owns the building which was opened in 1974.
We are looking for a volunteer to help organise the maintenance of the building, and identifying updating as required. The role would require meeting with contractors to organise quotes and maintenance visits (such as an annual boiler service etc)
Decisions are made by the committee of volunteers in monthly meetings, and larger improvements discussed and planned in the annual budget meeting.
It is likely that successful volunteer will live reasonably close to Rottingdean as visiting the Centre frequently may be required. Monthly meetings are held in the centre. Currently these are the second Tuesday of the month, at 7pm.
