BYC Needs Volunteers!
We are excited to be opening our new building at the end of October 2025 and have lots of Volunteer roles for people over 21 years, that need filling to make this dynamic youth space, open as much as possible.
We are looking to expand our youth club sessions so need more volunteer staff to help with running the Youth Club sessions (including helping at gigs and workshops, cooking, music lessons, sports, art, gaming), so if you have an interest in working regular sessions with Young People (usually taking place after school hours and some weekends), please apply for this role.
If you have more daytime hours and have other skills to offer, such as handyman, office support, fundraising, social media management etc, please apply to be Office and Building Volunteer.
Finally, our building launch event coincides with this year's B.Fest week - Brighton's only youth run creative arts festival - taking place over October half term.

Some experience of these roles would be useful but not necessarily required (depending on role!)
Office and Building Volunteers

Practical Considerations
BYC is located on Edward Street on the number 1, 2 and 7 bus routes. Unfortunately, we have very limited parking on site.
We will run regular volunteer inductions for all new volunteers and all users of the new building. This will cover a building tour, intro to B.fest and regular Youth Club sessions, volunteer roles, health and safety and our child protection procedures. There will be a daily briefing before each volunteer session.
Sessional times are at various times throughout the week and weekend.
When do I need to be available?
| Details | Applicants will need to be able to complete a training programme that will run for 5 weeks on a Tuesday evening starting on Tues 9th Sept at BYC.
