Are you organised with good facilitation skills? Then we would love you to join our team as a Macmillan Cancer Support Group Facilitator and help support people affected by cancer by facilitating the running of a new cancer support group in Worthing. By sharing your skills and time, you’ll use and develop your skills and enjoy a rewarding experience making a difference. Together, we can be right there for people with cancer. What you will be doing:

  • Scheduling the dates/times of the group meetings
  • Booking meeting rooms
  • Providing a welcoming environment
  • Facilitating the monthly support group meeting
  • Signposting group members for further support.

Skills

The skills you need:

  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Patient, flexible and reliable
  • Ability to respect others’ differences and choices
  • Able to recognise when to ask for support
  • Able to work independently with guidance and support.

Practical Considerations

The group will be at a local community venue in Worthing.

When do I need to be available?

Details Time yet not decided, but will be monthly, for a 1-2 hour meeting.
