We are looking for enthusiastic and committed volunteers to help us with our comms work!

As Comms Support, you will support us on the creation of our newsletter, interview volunteers and beneficiaries to gain their feedback and stories to highlight on the newsletter, upload on social media, update the website and do further admin responsibilities.

You need to be positive, compassionate, able to communication clearly, be creative, flexible, open-minded, show respect, have fun building relationships. 


You will need to demonstrate:

  • An interest in working with older people.
  • An ability to provide encouragement and support in a sensitive and caring manner,
  • to people from a variety of backgrounds. 
  • Flexibility and able to use own initiative. 
  • Good levels of self-organisation, reliability, and timekeeping.
  • An ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ideally, you should have experience of:

  • Working as a team.
  • Communicating effectively with a range of people.

You must be able to:

  • Be contactable by telephone and/or email.
  • Commit to volunteering for a period of at least 4 months.
  • Provide two references. 


      • Full training for the role. 
      • Opportunities to meet and socialise with other volunteers. 
      • The chance to use your skills and experience to improve the lives of others.
