Tools with a Mission

This is a great role if you like organising events and meeting people. Can you get people excited about a great cause? If so we would love you to join our team.

As a Community Fundraiser for TWAM, you will be instrumental in helping us to raise vital funds and awareness for our cause.

The work of Tools with a Mission, (TWAM), supports African livelihoods, UK communities, and the fight against climate change. We provide tools to skill centres in Africa. These tools give the recipient the means to generate their own income, create their own business, and build a mindset of independence, not reliance.

As a Community Fundraiser, your main role will be to organise events and come up with creative ways to fundraise in your local community, coffee mornings, quiz nights, open gardens - the skies the limit.

You will also keep out for sponsored events and encourage people to get involved, whether it be a fun run or walk for TWAM.

It will include liaising with our other volunteers to arrange events such as TWAM evenings with coffee and cake or a buffet.

What will you be doing?

  • You will volunteer within your local community, church, or community group to promote TWAM and help raise the funds we need to keep the tools flowing.
  • You will organise events of all kinds, or find others to do them for you, from music nights to traditional coffee mornings..
  • You will get pull-up banners, leaflets, resources and loads of support from everyone at TWAM, from the Volunteering Co-ordinator, and the Fundraising and Communications Officer to your local TWAM Tool Collectors..
  • You will be promoting TWAM.
