As a Community Fundraising Volunteer, you will play a key role in helping Grassroots Suicide Prevention increase fundraising income through community events, for example streaming/gaming, music gigs, auctions and pub quizzes.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Supporting recruitment and stewardship of community fundraisers
- Helping to create resources for the Fundraising Hub to support community fundraising
- Supporting with the planning and organisation of community fundraising events
- Supporting with email marketing, social media and website content creation
- Attending events to promote the charity and engage with supporters (ad-hoc).
Skills
This role would suit people with:
- A passion for preventing suicide and self-harm
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good written communication skills, with accuracy and good attention to detail
- Experience in using social media and email
- Ability to create engaging, compelling content
- An interest in event planning and management.
