As a Community Fundraising Volunteer, you will play a key role in helping Grassroots Suicide Prevention increase fundraising income through community events, for example streaming/gaming, music gigs, auctions and pub quizzes.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Supporting recruitment and stewardship of community fundraisers 
  • Helping to create resources for the Fundraising Hub to support community fundraising 
  • Supporting with the planning and organisation of community fundraising events 
  • Supporting with email marketing, social media and website content creation 
  • Attending events to promote the charity and engage with supporters (ad-hoc).

Skills

This role would suit people with:

  • A passion for preventing suicide and self-harm 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Good written communication skills, with accuracy and good attention to detail 
  • Experience in using social media and email 
  • Ability to create engaging, compelling content 
  • An interest in event planning and management.
