Conservation Volunteer

TreeAction UK is a non profit environmental conservation organisation based in Sussex.

We plant trees in schools and public land across Sussex, working closely with the Council.

We welcome volunteer to join our 'Tree Care Crew' and undertake practical conservation and habitat management on trees we have planted on public land in Shoreham, Lancing and Southwick.

Volunteering with tree action involves: tree maintenance, staking and tying; weeding; watering support when needed, mulching and scrub clearance.

Skills

• No experience is necessary - we provide gloves, tools and training. 
• Everyone welcome. 
• Please bear in mind this is practical, outdoors, gardening work.
• We provide a Health & Safety Briefing and Risk Assessment for all new joiners.

This is practical outdoors work - please dress for the weather, and remember to wear sturdy footwear like hiking boots.

Tools and training provided.

All of our community tree planting sites are in public parks and are reasonably accessible by public transport. There is free parking available near all of our sites.

When do I need to be available?

Details	We welcome volunteers to join us for 2 hours a month at our conservation events. You can take part as often or as little as you like.
