We are a charity formed from an association of local groups working together to help deliver events, information and workshops on the Climate Emergency.

Climate Resilience Centre Worthing - CREW has an accessible central space in the town centre and is providing a steady series of talks & workshops on all aspects of climate change and sustainability. CREW has many links to local groups, schools, businesses and local councils and is working to provide information and build community resilience.

Why? We are burning a substantial fraction of Earth's fossil fuels which guarantees unstoppable changes in the planet's climate, leaving an unfixable problem for future generations. We need to work together with urgency to generate the pathways to a safer world. To make this possible change must come from the ground up. We need to build community action and resilience, push for urgent governmental change and plan local adaptation. We need local people making important local decisions through people's assemblies. We need to find the answers to things like:

  • How will we feed our community when unpredictable weather patterns, fires and floods cause global food shortages?
  • How can we grow food locally and adapt to searing heat waves and extreme cold snaps which freezes the soil?
  • Should we be buying up local arable land instead of selling it to housing developers?

You will be:

  • Sharing Event Programmes to shared networks
  • Building the shared network
  • Improving CREW's reach
  • Checking deadlines for Newsletters and Magazines
  • Keeping Event Team Lead up to date with progress.
