Cross-generational growing & creative sessions volunteer

In partnership with WeBuild Brighton, Wild Purpose runs monthly Sunday sessions at Moulsecoomb allotments on Natal Road.

The sessions are designed to connect adult generations (18+) to share gardening, nature connection and creative activities together.

Sessions run 11am to 2pm and involve - a cuppa and check in, working on the land/gardening, reflection activities and a creative activity (e.g. creating natural prints, cyanotypes, using clay, etc).

Practical Considerations

The allotment is a natural space with uneven paths and incline in places. Please let us know in advance if any adjustments are needed.

There are parking spaces in Natal road and around the area.

The address is: Moulsecoomb Allotments, Natal Rd, Brighton BN2

There are no fixed toilet and bathroom facilities at the site but there is a portable toilet and handwashing facilities. The nearest toilet in on Lewes Road, a 5minute walk from the site.

We set up activities so they can be accessed from sitting down (e.g. gardening sitting down and art activities sitting down)

Skills

No skills or experience required, just a natural curiosity to try and share gardening and creative activites.
