Worthing Theatres & Museum (WTM), a registered arts and heritage charity (number 1185189), is seeking to recruit new Director(s) to join the Board of its trading subsidiary. Directors of this Board provide leadership and commercial and strategic guidance for Worthing Theatres & Museum (Trading) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of WTM.
We are looking for committed, enthusiastic individuals who share our values and vision. We are keen to hear from applicants from a range of backgrounds and experience, both locally and further afield, who can bring expertise that benefits the trading business that supports our charity. We are specifically looking for applicants with a commercial/finance background and/or Venue Hire / Bars / Retail experience.

Practical Considerations
Time Commitment
Five in-person Trading Board Meetings per year (daytime on weekdays) and one annual Away Day.
WTM is open to applicants from further afield, however Directors must be able to attend at least two in-person Trading Board meetings, two hybrid meetings and the annual Away Day as a minimum. There will also be occasional training and staff engagement.

Person Specification
- Experienced in a Commercial role as a business owner, in a managerial position, or other comparable role
- An enthusiasm for and commitment to driving commercial success in the business.
- A willingness to support WTM’s mission to bring culture to all parts of the Worthing community
- Strategic vision and the confidence to contribute as a member of a diverse team.
- Integrity and sound decision making skills.
- An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of a directorship Including meeting attendance.
