EVENT SUPPORT TEAM MEMBER

With more than 470 current members, The Shoreham Society is an independent voice for all who care about the town of Shoreham-by-Sea. Its remit covers planning, conservation, development and environmental issues. 

The Society is seeking friendly people with a few hours to spare each month to become part of our Event Support Team. 

Your duties will be:

• Attend the monthly talks and take money at the door, put out and put away chairs and tables, answer questions from members and non-members.
• Help crew The Shoreham Society stand at local events, handing out leaflets, talking to stand vistors about the work of The Society and signing up new members. 

You will be working with an Events Co-ordinator who will give training, direction and advice. 

Skills

• Full training will be given, although an interest in the work of The Shoreham Society is essential.
• You will deal with the public as well as members, so good communication skills are needed.

Practical Considerations

When do I need to be available?

Details	The monthly talks happen on the third Friday of the month, although this can be negotiated. Occasional weekend work is also required.
