FareShare Sussex & Surrey - Tesco Winter food collection
FareShare Sussex & Surrey
Would you like to support FareShare Sussex & Surrey at the Tesco Winter Food Collection?
FareShare Sussex & Surrey is a regional network partner of Felix, and we're taking part in this year's Tesco Winter Food Collection to help gather vital long-life food for local communities.
By giving just three hours of your time at a participating Tesco store between Thursday 26 and Saturday 28 November, you can help us collect food that will go on to support local charities and community groups, helping people experiencing food insecurity and struggling with the cost of living.
Having volunteers in stores makes a real difference, as customers are much more likely to donate when someone is there to encourage them.
Benefits
- Make a real difference locally – Help collect essential food that will support charities, food projects and community organisations across Sussex and Surrey.
- Meet like minded people – Enjoy a rewarding, sociable experience while connecting with other volunteers and your local community.
- Flexible and accessible volunteering – Just three hours of your time can make a huge difference. Choose a shift that works for you, with no previous experience necessary.
Practical Considerations
- Volunteering will take place at participating Tesco stores across Sussex and Surrey between Thursday 26 and Saturday 28 November 2026.
- Shifts are approximately three hours long, with volunteers helping to encourage customers to donate long-life food items at the store.
- You'll be standing for periods of time and chatting with members of the public. All food collected will go towards supporting FareShare Sussex & Surrey and the local charities and community groups we work with.
- Specific store locations and shift availability will be confirmed when signing up through the Felix website.
- Volunteers will need to make their own travel arrangements to and from their chosen Tesco store.
Support Disabled
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and abilities. If you have any additional support needs or require reasonable adjustments to take part, please get in touch with us beforehand so we can discuss how best to support you.Skills
