Financial Trustee

Worthing Theatres & Museum (WTM) is an arts and heritage charity looking to recruit new Finance Trustee(s) to join our Board. We are looking for committed, enthusiastic individuals who share our values and vision. We are keen to hear from applicants from a range of backgrounds and experience, both locally and further afield, who could bring expertise that benefits the Charity. In the following area:

• Finances (preferably with knowledge of Theatre/Arts Finances, but applicants with a strong financial background are welcome)

Practical Considerations

Time Commitment

Five in-person Board Meetings per year (late afternoons or evenings on weekdays). Trustees are also expected to serve on the Finance & Audit committee which meets online and in person several times per year.

Skills

Person Specification

• Hold a recognised professional body qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc) and preferable experience of Theatre/Arts finances
• An enthusiasm for and commitment to bringing culture to all parts of the Worthing community
• Demonstrable commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
• Strategic vision and the confidence to contribute as a member of a diverse team
• Integrity and sound decision making skills
• An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of a trusteeship
• Be able to commit to the timetable of meetings.
