The Food Ambassador programme is made up of volunteer campaigners with lived experience of food insecurity who, as experts by experience, share their stories and insights to bring attention to the realities of the UK’s broken food system. From rising food prices and the cost-of-living crisis, to climate shocks, struggling farmers and increasing health inequalities – something needs to change!

The Food Ambassadors meet top policymakers, do media appearances, attend Parliamentary events and summits, contribute to research, all as part of our campaign work. This volunteer role is open to anyone aged 14 years+. We provide support and training, and out-of-pocket expenses will be covered. 

Opportunities include:

  •  Advising UK government departments
  •  Contributing to government consultations
  •  Taking part in research
  •  Attending/talking at summits or events relating to our work
  •  Speaking to policymaker.

Skills

We don’t expect any prior experience and will offer support and training to support you on your food activism journey.
