Brighton and Hove City Council is looking for volunteers to help us carry out practical conservation tasks within Stanmer Park; this could include woodland work,  litter picking, helping with the sheep grazing, helping with wildlife surveys and events. The aim is to ultimately set up a new "Friends of Group" for the park.

It's an exciting time for Stanmer with lots of new events and activities taking place in the park as part of the Councils 3.75 million Heritage Lottery funded restoration project and this is a real opportunity to get involved with the park and to help shape its future whilst improving it for everyone to enjoy.

No experience is necessary but it would be advantageous to be willing to work outside in most weather conditions.

Experience with gardening or conservation work would be a bonus as would previous use of basic hand tools, however no experience is necessary and full training will be given for each activity.
