Brighton & Hove Arts Council is looking for someone to set up a fund-raising operation. The charity is run by a team of volunteers, whose aim is to support and promote the local not-for-profit arts community.

Our member groups are involved in fine art, music, theatre, poetry, written word and other arts areas. Every quarter we publish Arts Diary where our members list their events, and this is widely available across the area. Demands for this publication is growing and we would like to increase the print size. We also run an annual Art Show, a Drama Competition and every two years a poetry Festival. in addition, we are planning a new music event in 2024.

All these activities cost money to run and whilst we receive membership fees from Group and private members, plus small grants, we do need to raise more money.

This role will be provided with details of past sponsors and an extensive list of targets.
