Diversity Resource International (DRI) is a Sussex-based non-profit community development organisation dedicated to empowering ethnic minorities and migrant communities. We deliver community development programmes, community-led research, leadership and enterprise support, and training for equity and inclusion. Working in partnership with communities and stakeholders, we centre lived experience, generate evidence for change, and co-create solutions that respond to real needs. 

We are seeking a dedicated Admin Volunteer for a hybrid role based in Lewes. The role requires 5 hours of commitment per week. The Admin Volunteer role is an opportunity to develop skills in providing administrative support, maintaining records and databases, setup and coordinate meetings, triaging enquiries and passing them to the relevant person, handling correspondence, assisting with daily organisational tasks and assisting in organising seminars, webinars, and community events.

  2.  Experience in the day to day workings of a non-profit community interest company led by ethnically minoritized leaders.
  3.  DRI requires all volunteers to have a basic DBS and if you need a new one, DRI will pay the expense of the DBS check.

Practical Considerations

Time Period:

Each DRI volunteer role requires a commitment of 4 months.

An average of 5 hours per week.


Induction Meeting

DRI is hosting an Induction Meeting 11:30AM - 2:30PM, Friday 13th March 2026, in Lewes, East Sussex.

What are we looking for?

  1.  Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  2. Excellent communication and customer service skills to engage effectively with diverse communities.
  3. Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Microsoft Office or equivalent office applications.
  4. Passion for social justice or interest in contributing to a fairer and equitable society.

When do I need to be available?

Details DRI might have events outside of work hours to accommodate community member availability. As mentioned above, we require a commitment of four months as we are a small organisation and an average of 5 hours per week.
