You will also help the office run smoothly by supporting general administrative tasks such as handling post, scanning documents, updating records and preparing information.

As a Reception Volunteer, you will play an important role in making sure people feel comfortable, included and valued from their first interaction with Possability People.

Supporting individuals with additional support needs and/or disabilities

As a disability charity, we are committed to making volunteering accessible and welcoming for everyone. We recognise that people may need different types of support to take part, and we are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments before and during your volunteering. Support may include adapting tasks or timings, providing equipment or additional guidance, making changes to communication methods, or considering any access needs. We work with volunteers to understand what will help them feel confident and included in their role. We will support you to learn our systems, understand our services and build confidence in welcoming visitors, responding to enquiries and supporting the smooth running of our reception area.
