Café and Food Surplus Volunteer

Would you like to be part of a small supportive grassroots group who together want to make a tangible difference to the local community and environment within Coldean. 

Join the Coldean Community Organisation where we offer a space space for all, with surplus food, community pantry and community cafe. Your time will directly support vulnerable people and local residents in our community. 

We serve teas, coffee, cake and other surplus food sanitary products, local school uniforms and more, all for a donation. 

You will be:

• Welcoming visitors and providing a friendly customer service
• Preparing and serving drinks and cake
• Helping to display and stock affordable food items for purchase
• Handling small cash transactions for sales and recording them accurately
• Maintaining hygiene, cleanliness and basic food safety standards in the café and food area.

A full induction and training will be provided for all tasks, including basic food hygiene and barista training.

• The hours you offer can fit around your other commitments and what best suits you.
• Located directly on the bus route for an easy commute.
