Social Media Volunteer

Freedom Power Chairs is a Sussex Charity helping to make mobility independence available to everyone.

We provide affordable mobility solutions for those on lower incomes through the low-cost servicing and repair of powerchairs and scooters, low-cost hire of some powerchairs along with the refurbishment and sale of powerchairs and scooters. 

We are looking to increase our social media presence and reach those in the community who might not otherwise be aware of the equipment they can access or donate. You will be playing a key role in this through sharing your passion and interest in the use of social media.

Practical Considerations

You will be volunteering from home, with travel to our workshop for any meetings as and when needed. The times you do are flexible and can fit around your other commitments, taking into consideration content creation and scheduling needed. 

You will have an induction into the charity and ongoing support, with regular communication with the team.

Skills

You don't have to have a background being in a charity. We are looking for:

• A keen interest in social media
• Ability to use and post content on to social media, using different platforms
• Be able to use relevant communication skills needed for social media
• Attention to detail
• Ability to volunteer unsupervised and use own initiative, but also be part of a team
• Organisation skills
