Join Our Events Volunteer Team – Make a Difference at Every Event

Are you looking for a fun and rewarding way to give back to your community? Do you enjoy meeting new people and being part of something meaningful? We’d love to have you on board!

Sussex Emmaus is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help at our busy events throughout the year — including 4 large Saturday fairs annually and a variety of smaller events in between.

What You Can Help With:

We have a wide range of tasks available — whether you love being behind the scenes or front and centre:

• Setting up and packing down stalls, tables, signs, and equipment
• Welcoming visitors and providing information or directions
• Manning stalls – helping with games, selling items, or giving out leaflets
• Live entertainment assistance
• Assisting with children's activities and craft stations
• Serving refreshments or helping with food stalls
• General stewarding.

Skills

No experience needed – just bring your energy and a smile, ready for a busy day.

If you have event and customer service experience - even better.

Practical Considerations

• Close by to public transport links (Bus stop 1 or 1A stops outside)
• Portslade Train Station nearby
• Free street parking around site
• Events can be quite physically demanding / long days in all weather.

When do I need to be available?

Details	Event shifts are between 4 – 8 hours, mostly taking place on Saturdays (Occasionally on evenings) and set up days on Fridays. All applicants must be over 18 years old and complete a DBS check.
