We are seeking a new Treasurer to join the Board of Trustees to support our ongoing work to bring affordable, high quality counselling to communities across the Worthing area.
The Treasurer will be an essential part of the Board to provide expertise and advice on all matters relating to our financial matters. They will provide leadership and direction and work alongside the Trustees and Senior Management Team (SMT) of Worthing Counselling Centre WCC) as a full voting member of the Board of Trustees (the Board).
You will work in partnership with the Clinical Lead, Operations Manager and other Trustees to achieve the goals of the organisation by helping us to ensure financial sustainability, legal compliance and strategic input, and to help us with our financial record-keeping and reporting.
This will be an interesting and varied role that will work alongside a passionate, dynamic and dedicated group of Trustees, team members, counsellors and supervisors.

Practical Considerations
There is free on-street parking in the area and we are next to West Worthing train station, a main road and bus routes.
Hours can be flexible and we recognise the importance of respecting and working alongside other commitments you may have.
There will be regular Board meetings and similar meetings which can be explored with you on enquiry.
Skills
You will need to have experience and skills in a range of matters relating to finance and accounting/bookkeeping, but we are not prescriptive and would welcome expressions of interest from anyone with a background in finance, financial compliance, book-keeping, accounting and similar.
You will need to have an understanding of key legal, best practice and practical matters relating to finance and financial management, however.
