Are you looking to make a real difference to a local community charity? Do you have a few hours a month you could offer to support and guide a small, creative organisation?
Livestock works within the community, running arts groups, events and performances that support, educate and connect people. Our main project, Mothers Uncovered, is a creative support network for mothers. Through workshops and arts projects, we create spaces where women can speak openly and honestly about their experiences of motherhood without fear of judgement, and reflect on this important time in their lives.
We are now looking for new trustees to join us. You do not need to have any experience of being a trustee, but some knowledge in an area of expertise or lived experience of being a mother is helpful. Essentially, an interest in supporting our work, sharing ideas and helping shape the future of the charity is key. The role typically involves around 2 to 3 hours per month.
Benefits
This role will give someone the opportunity to:
- Be involved in a growing local charity
- Have opportunities to learn and develop, or practice existing skills
- Reasonable expenses paid
- Contribute to the future of this organisation.
Practical Considerations
Training is accessible for this role.
Skills
We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have skills/experience in the following areas:
- Fundraising/grant writing/experience with corporate partnerships and/or sponsorship
- Governance and leadership
- Business strategy
- Legal or accounting.
However, whatever your experience has been, we would like to talk to you and find out how you could contribute to our work.
In addition to this, previous third sector experience or knowledge would be beneficial, and a passion for the work that we do as an organisation is a must. We are looking for individuals that are dynamic and able to get involved.
