Volunteer Barista - training provided

We are looking for some Baristas to join our bustling Café team here at Sussex Emmaus, between Tuesdays and Saturdays ( shifts are anytime between 10am – 4pm) in Portslade Old Village.

The role is very interactive and social, working alongside staff, other volunteers, companions and customers.

Not Professionally trained to use a coffee machine? Please apply anyway - as we can provide full training courses, so you’ll gain valuable skills.  

Skills

• This is a very customer focused role, so a friendly, can do attitude
• If you are not already Barista trained - all training will be provided
• Comfortable working in a busy and sometimes fast paced environment
• The Volunteer needs the physical ability to stand and serve customers
• An interest in meeting new people from all walks of life

Practical Considerations

• Volunteer will be on their feet for most of a shift
• There is free street parking
• Bus no 1 and 1X stop close by to the Community
