First Base Day Centre for the homeless is a day centre where we provide hot meals, showers, laundry and access to accommodation and health care services.
We are currently looking for volunteer chefs who are able to cook for approx. 30 people Monday - Friday between 8:30am - 1pm.
Skills
- Previous experience of catering or cooking for a large group of people.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in the Kitchen.
- Skilled at being able to cook a wide range of meals including vegan and vegetarian.

Practical Considerations
First Base Day Centre is situated on Montpelier Place, the nearest bus stop is Waitrose on Western Road, we are a 5 minute walk away.
