About Dad La Soul
Fatherhood in the UK is in crisis. With 4.5 million dads and male carers struggling to find support, isolation and mental health challenges are rampant. Tragically, 84 men under 45 die by suicide each week—many of them fathers who feel they have no one to turn to. That’s why Dad La Soul exists: to create a space where dads can connect, share their struggles, and get the support they desperately need. We use humour, storytelling, and community to tackle the tough stuff and, ultimately, to save lives.

The Role: Your Content Strategy Could Change Lives
We’re looking for a Volunteer Content Strategist to take the lead in shaping our content strategy, making sure our life-saving resources are not only discovered but deeply engaged with. This isn’t just about boosting traffic—it’s about ensuring dads find us when they need us most, whether it’s help with their mental health, parenting challenges, or simply knowing they’re not alone.

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience in content strategy, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
• Strong knowledge of SEO, user experience (UX), and content marketing to ensure our materials reach and resonate with dads in need.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, capable of crafting stories that engage and inspire.
• The ability to work independently and lead the content charge, turning recommendations into action with minimal oversight.
• A passion for using your content skills to make a real-world impact—helping to support and save lives.

• Our office in central Worthing on the second floor of Colonnade House (no lift)
• Dad La Soul is a project that focuses on the challenging social isolation in dads but we actively welcome applications from people from the widest possible range of backgrounds.
• Remote volunteering is available for this role
  

When do I need to be available?

Details	We know your time is valuable. We estimate the initial audit and strategy creation will take around perhaps 1 -2 days, followed by 4-8 hours per week to manage and maintain the ongoing content strategy. We’re flexible and appreciate any time you can give to this life-changing work.
