Volunteer in your local park - Beach House Park Worthing
Neighbourhood Team - Worthing Central, Adur & Worthing Councils
What's taking place? We're hosting volunteer mornings where people can help us with gardening and maintenance tasks such as weeding, planting, pruning, watering, edging, raking and painting.
These are held on the first Tuesday of every month and occasional Saturdays (dates TBC).
Skills
Who can attend? Anyone is welcome to take part in the volunteer sessions - the more, the better! Children must be accompanied by adults. These are free drop-in sessions, just turn up on the day. You can also let us know a little more about you and/or your group by registering your interest (below).
Do I need to bring anything with me? All equipment will be provided by our parks team, but please feel free to bring any additional bits, such as your own gardening gloves, with you. We recommend wearing suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear.
Benefits
This is a great way to meet people and connect with nature. We're always keen to receive offers of support and welcome you to our Volunteer Mornings. You can expect a friendly welcome and expert support from our council gardeners and rangers.
Practical Considerations
The park is open to the public all year round. There are often dog walkers that use this space.
When do I need to be available?
