Blatchington Court Trust
Based in Hove Park Villas, Blatchington Court Trust employs a great team of nine dedicated staff to support, inform and empower people throughout Sussex with sight loss under the age of thirty and their families. We do this by offering advocacy to help the parents of such children get suitable state education for them; by counselling and by coaching the young people; also, through advice on technology and advice about benefits, etc. and by helping them to develop social skills and confidence by organising and running social events. Occasionally, we provide financial grants. Our services change lives and we are proud to work with our incredible young people and their families to make these positive changes.
We now want to refresh, strengthen and diversify our Board to best represent our beneficiaries and their experience of life in Sussex with visual impairment.
In particular, the Trust is seeking to recruit people who have a background in law, property or finance.
