Volunteer Work Coach

Worthing Resource Centre is based in Worthing town centre and is an informal Community Setting. On Wednesday’s the Digital Team provide computer and CV/Job training to the community. 

We are looking for a Work Coach Volunteer to join our friendly team to provide compassionate, one-to-one support for individuals who may have been out of the workforce for some time. You will help boost their confidence and provide the practical digital and administrative tools they need to navigate the modern job market in a relaxed, friendly environment. 

Including, assisting in creating CV and cover letters, digital Job Searching, online applications and interview preparation.

Practical Considerations

• Worthing Homes Resource Centre is on main bus route and 10 minutes from local train station
• No parking on site available. 
• Only open on a Wednesday.

Skills

•  Excellent People Skills: Ability to listen non-judgmentally and communicate with empathy and patience.
•  Digital Literacy: Proficiency in using job boards, email, and basic word processing (MS Word/Google Docs).
•  Empathetic Approach: An understanding of the challenges faced by those experiencing illness, disability, or financial hardship.
•  Supportive & Encouraging: A focus on "coaching" rather than just "doing," empowering users to gain their own skills.
