The JOFF Youth Hub in Peacehaven is open after an exciting refurbishment!
We are recruiting Youth Work Volunteers at The JOFF to support our Youth Workers, and make a difference to the lives of young people.
The JOFF (The Joy of Finding Friends) is a safe space for young people aged 8 to19, or up to 25 with SEND, providing different evening weekly Youth Sessions.
Youth sessions:
- LGBTQ+
- Young Women's Group
- Young Men's Group
- Gardening Club
- Juniors
- Seniors (Friday Night Project)
- SEND Saturdays (bi-weekly SEND group for 11 to 19 years olds then another for 19 to 25 year olds).
Whether you're passionate about supporting young people, have specific skills to share, or want to give within the community, we want to hear from you!
We understand that volunteers have busy lives, therefore we invest in our volunteers and will provide all the necessary training, 1:1 support and be there every step of the way!
We are keen to recruit volunteers with music experience.

Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to young people.
- Being reliable
- Having energy, enthusiasm, and self-motivation.
- Can work in a team and have your own initiative.
- Experience working with young people - desirable.
- Specific skills in: Sports coaching, cooking, music, arts & crafts, wellbeing-desirable.
