Youth Work Volunteer: Lewes

We are recruiting Youth Work Volunteers at Landport Community Hub to support our Youth Workers and make a difference to the lives of young people.

Landport Youth Club, in Landport, Lewes, hosts the Seniors youth session every Monday, 6pm-8pm A safe space for young people aged 13 to 19 where a range of different activities occur, like sports and football to arts and crafts and chatting.

We are keen for anyone with sports or football experience who may be able to help, but this is not essential.

Whether you're passionate about supporting young people, have specific skills to share, or want to give within the community, we want to hear from you!

We understand that volunteers have busy lives; therefore, we invest in our volunteers and will provide all the necessary training, 1:1 support, and be there every step of the w

Practical Considerations

• On street parking                                                                                                          
• Evening based: session starts at 6pm-8pm. Volunteers can attend from 5:30pm to support set up of the session
• Enhanced DBS needed (we can do this for you)

• Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to young people.
• Being reliable
• Having energy, enthusiasm, and self-motivation.
• Can work in a team and have your own initiative.
• Experience working with young people - desirable.
• Specific skills in: Sports coaching, cooking, music, arts & crafts, wellbeing-desirable.
